Joseph Borchers, President

Joseph Borchers has been the President of Premium Planning Group (PPG) since 1991. Originally from Long Island, NY, Joe’s focus was helping small companies navigate through a rapidly changing health insurance marketplace.

As PPG continues to grow, Joe now helps the owners, executives and employees of the businesses he represents with their individual insurance and financial planning needs.  His client base, well over 300, includes self-employed individuals to firms with over 200 employees.  A staff of 4 employees assists him. 

Now 43, Joe has had great success working with seniors.  Having achieved his Certified Senior Advisor (CSA) designation, his agency actively manages plans for over 100 senior clients.  Joe takes tremendous pride working with his senior clients, paying special attention to the unique challenges they face.  He says, “I have always found it easy to communicate with elderly clients, even when I was starting out in my mid 20’s.”

Joe has called Tampa, Florida his home since November 2000.  His support system at home includes his wife of 13 years, Christine, and his two sons Joseph II, and Patrick.  Although he still manages and continues to grow his New York client list, he says that moving to Tampa was the best decision he and Christine ever made.  “The quality of life in this area is wonderful.  Being warm weather people, we just couldn’t handle any more New York winters.  New York is a great place to visit, but we definitely prefer life in the south.”
